It can be tough dealing with feeling annoyed all the time. You might feel like you’re constantly getting on each other’s nerves or that nothing seems to go your way. But there are some things you can do to try and ease the annoyance and hopefully make things better.

First, trying and communicate with the person or situation causing you to feel annoyed is essential. That can be difficult, but it’s worth a shot. If you can explain how you’re feeling and why they may be more understanding and willing to change whatever it is that’s bothering you.

Second, try to take a step back and remember that this isn’t going to last forever. Whatever it is that’s causing your annoyance will eventually go away, so try to focus on the positive things in your life and be patient.

Lastly, don’t forget to take care of yourself. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating healthy, and taking time for yourself now and then. That will help you to stay calm and level-headed, even when things around you are driving you up the wall.

Consider direct action you can take to mitigate this issue. Here are several solid starting points to put frustration in the rearview mirror.

Distract yourself by taking on a new task – The best way to stop being annoyed is to get busy doing something else.

There are so many positive things you can focus on; why bother worrying about a minor issue? Instead, why not put some effort into resolving your most significant problem? Any progress you make in that area will help your life substantially.

Remove yourself from the situation – If it’s a specific situation causing issues, move on. Whether it’s a work-related or a personal problem, distance generally solves it.

Acknowledge the feeling and let it pass – So, we all get annoyed sometimes. Don’t take it to heart, and don’t invest energy and emotion.

Talk to someone about it – Maybe someone can help? If a person can intercede, it might be worth a mention. At the least, blowing off steam may take the edge off your attitude.

Take a break – It might be time for a break. When annoyance becomes chronic, it hardens into frustration. That’s a feeling that makes it hard to produce. People in a chronic state of frustration may also feel worse mentally and physically. Those are poor trends for anyone who’s trying to push ahead.

Dealing with feeling annoyed always is tough, but it’s important to remember that it won’t last forever. So stay positive, communicate openly, and take care of yourself; things should improve.

You’ll never get over annoyance. We all feel it, but it’s a gateway to a bad attitude if it becomes overwhelming. So one problem with being annoyed is the potential to become annoying! On the other hand, reflecting on something we don’t like is expected, so watch out.
