But it’s important not to let the bad news get you down. Many things are happening in the world that are worth celebrating. Unfortunately, we don’t hear about them because the media is so focused on negativity.

There are plenty of ways to fix the problem of harmful news overload. Here are a few suggestions:

Limit your exposure to the news – If you’re overwhelmed by negative information, try tuning out for a while. Maybe take a long break from social media or watch the news altogether.

Focus on the good news – Make an effort to seek out positive stories about people and events. There are plenty of them out there – you have to look for them.

Get involved in your community – One of the best ways to counteract all the negative news is to get involved in your community and make a difference. There are plenty of ways to make a difference – find one that speaks to you and get involved!

Detox from social media – It’s time to take a break from social networks. That’s true, especially if you’re getting jailed or given timeouts. Another negative element of news, current events, or political addiction is it causes lots of fighting.

You’ll develop an entirely new perspective if you take some time off. That way, you can return refreshed with a new way of looking at things.

Realize what you’re looking at when you watch news shows. For example, did you know taxpayers in the U.S. fund propaganda, and much of what passes for news is that? Please turn it off and spend your time doing anything else. That’s the fastest way to improve your current conditions.

It pays to remember that the world is full of good people doing good things. So don’t let the alarming news get you down – focus on the positive and make a difference in your community. Every day brings a new chance for opportunity.
