Getting up early in the morning can help you in lots of ways. You’ll be on time for crucial meetings, and you’ll be ready. Showing up feeling relaxed gives you the poise needed to conduct any pressing business successfully.

Set your alarm for what you consider a reasonable time – If you’re used to waking up at 8 am, don’t try to set your alarm for 5 am. That’s setting yourself up for significant failure (and a lot of irritability).

Instead, start by setting your alarm 15-30 minutes earlier. Then, once you consistently wake up, you can gradually begin setting your alarm for earlier and earlier each day.

Place your alarm far away from you across the room –

That may seem like a silly tip, but it works! When your device makes a noise, you’ll have to get out of bed to turn it off, which will help wake you up. Additionally, placing your alarm clock across the room will make it more challenging if you routinely hit the snooze button.

Eat A Healthy Breakfast

Go to bed earlier – To be an early riser, you must ensure you get enough sleep. So instead of staying up late watching TV or browsing the internet, head to bed at a reasonable time. That will help ensure that you’re well-rested and able to wake up early the following day.

Get sufficient sunlight first thing in the morning – Exposure to sunlight helps to regulate our circadian rhythms, which are our natural sleep-wake cycles. So when you first wake up in the morning, open the curtains or step outside for a few minutes to let natural light flood into your room. That will help to signal to your body that it’s time to wake up and start the day.

Eat breakfast – A healthy and tasty breakfast is a great way to start your day on the right foot. Not only will it give you energy and help improve your concentration, but it will also boost your metabolism throughout the day. So make sure to eat something healthy as soon as you wake up!

Exercise in the morning  – Exercise is a proven way to start your day on the right foot. Not only will it give you energy and help improve your concentration, but it will also help release endorphins, which have mood-boosting effects. So even if it’s just a quick jog around the block or some push-ups and sit-ups in your bedroom, make sure to get moving as soon as you wake up!

Avoid using electronic devices in bed – Using them makes it harder to fall asleep at night and disrupts sleep once we drift off. In addition, the blue light emitted by these devices suppresses melatonin production, which makes us feel more awake instead of sleepy. So to become an early riser, avoid using electronic devices in bed!
